Does anyone else like this show? It has Dan Stevens as the world's greatest psychic, unfortunately he only discovers that after being committed to an insane asylum and then being rescued by other "mutants". Apparently it's a Marvel comic character but nothing about it says its a super-hero show like the other Marvel series (which i don't watch). The story often bewilders me and it took a while to get into but i find it rather compelling now. Dan Stevens is very good and Aubrey Plaza steals every scene she's in with her creepy, demented demeanour. There's a lot of humour in it, too, though it can get quite dark. The music by Jeff Russo works really very well in the show, as do all the songs they use. The music is very much at the forefront of many scenes and is often off-kilter and dark. It really works with the visuals. The visual look of the show is unique and very stylized, maybe a little over-done at times, but there's something to look at in every scene. Season 2 has been good fun, with some stand-out music and visuals. Not sure i can actually recommend it to everyone, as it is very odd and can be oppressive, but i like it a lot. I'll get around to checking out the Russo albums away from the show too. The writer/showrunner is Noah Hawley who does the great Fargo TV series. In LEGION he certainly puts tons of thought and ideas into it with his writers and everyone who contributes.
