They're discussing it now on BT. His both arms go up at first as the goal goes in and then the water bottle is thrown down in what looks like relieved anger. He's used his get out of jail card, after gifting them the equaliser wink

The equaliser was from Mbappe and ironically it was he who gave away possession for the winner.

Bolton at the weekend were shite and lost 2-1 to QPR. We're going through the run that i expected will be how most our season will be. won 3 in 4 now haven't won in 3.

Glad Liverpool won, shame about Spurs.

Oh, i see PSG's first goal was off-side too, and Liverpool could have scored their usual 9 goals.

Salad looked really pissed off when the winner went in - look behind Klopp when he’s celebrating. What’s that about?

My phone changed Salah to Salad. And Klopp to Koop but I spotted that.

A few people have called him salad in this thread.
I think it suits him.

Blackburn fallen into a pattern of draws. We're next to you in the table. Hopefully we can put a run of form together.

Saw the Pewl game. They got waaay too cute in the second half. Mane in particular chose to pass when he should have just taken a strike on goal; it was frustrating to watch. Glad they won, though, and PSG continues to not be worth a damn in this competition.

Di Maria was on the pitch? I saw him during the pregame lineup, and then later around the 70th minute, doing nothing.

I keep hearing pop culture references to George Best in my travels. What do you boys think of him as a player?

Superb, but still over-rated as a player (and a person).

Thanks, gents. I'll do some more reading on him, and see what it's all about. Geroge Best did have a hilarious memoir title, though: Sod This, I'm Off to Marbella.

Thanks, litefoot! I'm going to love this. In the thumbnail, he looks like he's sitting in the principal's "hot seat"!

Oh, that Persuaders-era hair helmet! Watched the first few minutes, but will set aside time later to properly take in the whole experience.

The year is 1971, by the way. It's covered in his 2004 autobiography 'Scoring At Half-Time', and 2002 autobiog 'Blessed' with extracts here:

http://www.bigredbook.info/george_best_1.html

They did him a second time in 2003 but it's not online.

"Rime kater"? Man, I come up with some typos! Yeesh.

Yes, I said The Persuaders which for me *defines* 1971.

Talking Pictures tonight at 11-00...UK
CONRACK. Jon Voight in a nice slice of 70s Americana.
Nice, short score by GOD (aka Jay Dubya), half of which can be heard in the opening titles.

Thanks for shout kev.
I dont think ive seen that.
Sadly im away for the night so will try record it next time its on.

I met george best. Spent an evening with him at his local pub in chelsea. Nice man. Kind, thoughtful, funny man. Gently spoken, good humour, - during a good period when i saw him, newly married to alex best, But behind the eyes, a wreck, like all addicts, sad, weak, and caught on a merry-go-round he couldnt get off.

Utd breezing it against Young Boys with a Pogba double, City 2-0 down against Lyon (a shambles apparently) and Ronaldo sent off in the Champions League for the first time EVER after 154 games.

11th red card of his career apparently. Looked harsh, not clear what he did. Man City's 5th defeat in their last 6 Champs League games.
