Sgt Stubby- Patrick Doyle

Happy to see this one on your list. While it doesn't cover any new ground, it is a perfect summary of Doyle's vintage sound. And "Memoriae Tuae" is very lovely.

It probably will bore others, but checks all the boxes for me.

I normally don't exclusively listen to action/adventure scores, but this year there have been three great ones:

BLACK PANTHER - Ludwig Göransson

AVENGERS 3 - Alan Silvestri

SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY - John Powell

Ni no Kuni 2: The Revenant Kingdom by Joe Hisaishi is the score of the year so far, nothing else comes close as a whole.

A really weak year.

Keep coming back to Solo. And I thank everyone for the comments in other threads on Red Sparrow. If not for the huge praise here for that score, I think I would have passed on it. It's wonderful!

Not a lot impressing me thus far this year. I love about two thirds of Solo. About 40 minutes of Avengers: Infinity War. The rest of the stuff I've heard was underwhelming. Hopefully the second half will be stronger. Previous years were more to my liking overall. (2015, 2016 and 2017)

Wot, no Death of Stalin?

The Death of Stalin is from 2017. But, yes, a terrific score, and I'm looking forward to future efforts from newcomer Christopher Willis.
