I can't find any other post except this one, so here goes...

The TV programme was excellent IMO.

The soundtrack I have ordered. Sounds great, with hints of Powell.

I think Djawadi is one to watch.

LOL! Yes, he's missing that one big gig. Something fantasy-related should get his career going, I think.

I think that opportunity was Game of Thrones.

Dave, I was joking, pr. the "man to watch" quote above. Djawadi probably left the "man to watch" segment the minute he did IRON MAN back in 2008.

Completely disagree. That score fit Tony Stark’s first outing like a glove.

Oh, I agree. Big fan of Djawadi and the first IRON MAN score. I can see how the comment could be misunderstood. My point was that he left the "man to watch" category with that score and became one of the most sought-after composers in Hollywood and TV after that, cementing it with GAME OF THRONES.

I should have expanded on my original comment. I was referring to a major magnum opus score along the lines of LOTR from Shore. Game of Thrones is ok in my estimation. I find that the best parts for me tend to be the score sequences at the end of each series/season, but that is just my predilection.

My comment was meant to express the view that he has the cahones to pull off a major score as per above type.

Good! Stark needs a rock and roll influenced score. Djawai delivered it. I was so disappointed they didn’t bring him back for round two. Debney’s score was fine but felt Iron Man needed that Rock edge, not a pure orchestral score.

Well.................not a pure orchestral score. Still some great rock bits and tons of electronics...

I'm no Djawadi fan but some of the more elegiac cues in this soundtrack are quite good.

WESTWORLD and GOT make him 'Composer of the Decade' in my book.
Hope he can do a feature of that quality someday.

Person of Interest is a pretty monumental achievement in all categories, especially the music.

Can’t get enough of Westworld. As great as the soundtracks are there is so much more great music unreleased from the seasons. Would love another volume.

The music is certainly not on the level of those who came before. Probably due to this portrayal of the character of Jack Ryan.

Poledouris - Horner - Goldsmith - Doyle

Enjoyable for what it is. Thinking appreciation might grow for this one.

I wonder if La-La Land will be releasing a Season 2 physical CD.
