Was watching SO BIG (1953) on TCM earlier today; then I heard a familiar melody which drove me crazy because I've never seen this. I'm a big Delerue fan so I managed to narrow that theme to one of the final score tracks on CURLY SUE (1991). Both themes start identically, then take different directions. I wonder if this was co-incidence, subconscious or a deliberate imitation...
