I tuned in late and heard only the last half of this live concert on our local classical station, WFMT. I missed Rozsa's Parade of the Charioteers, Prokofiev's LIEUTENANT KIJE suite and Herrmann's CITIZEN KANE Overture. I am really sorry about that. The pieces I DID hear (THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD, AN AMERICAN IN PARIS, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK), ere superk, bring out all kinds of detail most conductors usually ignore.
I had never heard of conductor Vinay Parameswaran before, but he deserves great praise.
