@ Ostinato, The Ifukube's are a given of course, but what is your advice for the Hattori and the Sato? Well, first of all, I want to say that Varan and Dogora WILL NOT be released on the 25th. They have been postponed by a couple of days. Their new release date is now the 27th. As for these August releases, the Hattori score is the August Cinema-kan release I mentioned that I plan to get. An LP program was released around the time the film was. I haven't heard anything from the LP. However, a handful of cues were released on a two disc Toho war film compilation, which was released in 2005 by Toho Music Corporation. I have heard the cues featured with that compilation, and they're pretty good. I'm glad that the score is being released. By the way, Katsuhisa Hattori is the father of Takayuki Hattori, who composed the scores to "Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla" (1994), "Godzilla 2000" (1999) and the ongoing Godzilla Anime trilogy. As for the two Masaru Sato scores, I don't recall ever listening to anything from them. I know that some cues have been released on compilations in the past, but this will be the first time that the scores will be released in full. I do encourage grabbing it though (same goes for the Hattori score). Unfortunately, I will not be getting it in August, as I'm already committed to purchasing other albums.

Thank you for the correction, Ostinato. You're right, VARAN and DOGORA will release on 27th this month. A compilation album of Toho war films called "OTOKOTACHI NO SENKI: TOHO WAR MOVIES SOUNDTRACK COLLECTION (2CD)" which is still available at our store. It is a great soundtrack compilation album, indeed.
