Geez!!!

I had a feeling, and why I stated that I was new, that a simple question would tantalize some of the typical pompous a**es that reside in forums.

One of the main reasons why I avoid them...

I am aware of the search engine....the last response to this was over a year ago...thought maybe there was some new information

But many thanks to the civil responses...

The response from Roger of Intrada that this was on their list with Disney and UMG was less than a year ago certainly...maybe less than half a year. But welcome to the board -- I hope you haven't been scared off!

HAHAHA!! Not scared, especially with the timeframe you spoke of when they mentioned the list!

Sorry to remind you of the relentless passage of time as we all march inexorably toward death, Yavar, but it was actually a year and a half ago. (Which is still nothing as far as these things go.)

Can everybody cool it, please? Thank you.

That's exactly what I would like, but, respectfully: where were you in the other thread, during the past 24 hours, when Ado was getting so much unkind grief over his simple inquiry? I kept staying out of it, not wanting to say anything to make it worse, and hoping a moderator would jump in...but, crickets. Guess I should mind my own business, but when you see someone continually getting attacked undeservedly, it's hard to hold one's tongue.

I'm done in this thread, though, and hope that Justin and I can continue get along fine elsewhere. I was not trying to offend but only to understand and hold a mirror up.

Yavar

I can't be here 24/7 to watch every thread, nor can Lukas. If you have a concern, there is a long-established method of submitting that concern for attention. Please use the button if you feel something isn't getting the attention you think it should.

I can't wait. I really hope this is the year for Willow!

We have 2 or 3 Horner titles incoming from Intrada in the remainder of the year. Lets hope WILLOW is in that line of assembly!

Wow. I believe you, but...wow.

And fair enough, David. I’ve never used that function before and it didn’t even occur to me to do so.

There's a further update to this one. Soundtrack Doctor on the Intrada forum (aka Roger or Doug) posted this on May 17th this year:

"This one is definitely being reviewed, but a little tricky."

http://www.intrada.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=79295#p79295

So maybe we will have to wait a little while longer. The three Horner titles Intrada is releasing later this year are probably something else.

I wonder if the tricky part stems from Lucasfilm? None of the boutique labels have ever released any of their titles in the past (to my knowledge).

As for the three titles Intrada is working on, I hope for a re-issue or expansion of *batteries not included, and premiere releases for I Love You To Death (coupled with the very short The Dresser) and the three versions of Heaven Help Us. Volunteers I've written off long ago.

The OST is quite lengthy, anyone know whats missing? I can't imagine its anything significant.

I have found that anyone's favorite cue can be called significant if it's missing from the album. Just as an example, the original LP program for Star Trek II could be called a perfect representation of the score and indeed, the majority of the tracks are exceptionally strong. It's a great listening experience, probably the best of the original Trek releases. However, my favorite long missing cue was "Enterprise Attacks Reliant." It's a minute and a half and probably not "significant" in the general scene of things, but to me....finally getting that cue made my year.

The main missing ingredient for me, from the Willow score, is the lengthy sequence on the snowy mountain and in the tents, when the love potion is used on Madmartigan and the ensuing escape. I think it's all scored and quite brilliant.
I'm sure there are other bits and bobs that would be pretty cool too.

Pretty sure the main reason Lukas released WOK expanded was to have that one track! It's the one cue I wanted the most too. Well that and Kirk in the shuttle right before it docks with the Enterprise.

Cool, I'm intrigued.

The whole choral-heavy Cherlindrea sequence is missing from the OST, and the longer Newlyn village source music in the early part of the film.

The cue when Madmartigan is in the cage and talks about having a baby in his life...

That is the holy grail to me...

Yeah, 7M2-3/8M1, Snowy Escape. To my recollection, it's just over seven minutes long. 4M3, The Brownies is also significant. Most of the rest of the unreleased cues are short.
