"Mighty Joe Young's a top ten favorite movie for me (I love it even more than the original Kong), so I'll definitely consider that album now that I'm seeing some good word on it!"
My earliest memory of childhood is sitting on our living room floor when suddenly a commercial came on the TV for a new movie, with a big ape atop a rock formation, beating his chest, and the announcer -- probably Art Gilmore -- proclaiming, "Mightier than King Kong! See -- Mighty Joe Young!" Many years later, I had the pleasure of seeing that same image on a big theater screen in an art house showing of MIGHTY JOE YOUNG.

After listening to most of the scores listed here, via samples or the films themselves via Youtube, I have to second this one. I see a re-recording, but not the original score.
Mine is the complete "Terminal Velocity" by Joel McNeely and I'm super passionate about it.
Ironically, the only label who would or could release it, if they choose to, would be the one Peter works for. "Help me Hack-Man, you're my only hope!" :-)
That being said. I can see how a deluxe Terminal Velocity would be a gamble for any profit driven mind. I have no idea how much it would cost, but given it's a Disney title it could be both costly and complicated. This title would have to be driven by a personal passion. Given how many sure sellers out there have yet to receive the Deluxe Treatment, this may very well be a title I never get to experince in Deluxe Expansion, but man do I hope to be wrong. :-)
Despite the shortness of the original 31min album, I give credit to it as having all the thematic material, including arguably the best Action cue of the film. But there's still another half hour of previously unreleased action music that my ears plead to hear sans the heavy effects and dialogue track of the film mix.
The 1994 varese album is akin to the original Cliffhanger album in that it had all the highlights that are thematically memorable, while leaving off the pure rythmic action material, which I love!!! (Thank you Intrada and La La Land for fixing up Cliffhanger!)
That being said a Deluxe Edition score would flow tirelessly in its near 70min complete form.
That's what makes Terminal V my number #1 holy grail or my "Rocket Gibraltar"
Fingers crossed that Mr Townson or other's at Varese feel similar love for this title.
