Hello, have anybody noticed that The Mummy 2CD edition lacks some kind of 'temp tracks' I think? First of all - Broken Bottle, the track which was on the bootleg and it appears in the film when Jonathan puts out a bottle by the campfire. It's some kind of post production temp track I think because it's one note synth, but it's interesting why it was on the bootleg and not here.
Second, when they discover the man in the coffin, juicy guy and Evy says this man was buried alive - they look at him and the camera closes on his face. When they look at him and camera closes on his face - that part was cut out from Discoveries track, while it should stay there. On the original album it was also cut I think, also on the bootleg probably. That's strange.
And third, when Evy reads from the book of the dead at night and the mummy wakes up with growling (the juicy guy they discovered before) - that moment is also absent from the album. After that the Egyptologist screams - YOU MUST NOT READ FROM THE BOOK! I think it's also some kind of a synth, sound effect but I hear also some trumpet and instrument during this probably, so it should be on the album. What do you think of that? Besides these tracks I talk about here - the 2CD expanded edition is complete cause I checked every second during the film. Source cues are not counted of course.

The isolated score track (the source of many MUMMY bootlegs) reflects some post-production tinkering. So far as I know, the "missing" bits you mention do not reflect the music as Goldsmith composed and recorded it. It's true that Intrada and other labels will sometimes reproduce editorially created film tracks, but only if they find them to be of sufficient interest or think fan demand will be particularly high.

I already replied to this guy when he posted the exact same rant in the Intrada thread. Did you really have to make a separate thread for this?
