What are Disney's values? Laying off thousands of artists and off shoring the work to third world countries? Using slave labor for the production on their products? Not paying it's park employees a livable wage? Taking impressionable 11-13 year old girls, turning them into child stars knowing very well the social pressure will screw up their heads long into adulthood? And lets be clear, Disney has clearly stated the mental stability of these children are the soul responsibility of the parents. While I can't say I'd necessarily disagree with your post, I would say I have an entirely different list of reasons. But I will, Gunn gave a type of apology before this news of old Tweets broke (so, not a "sorry" because he got caught situation), essentially saying he wouldn't make more posts like that and it was in poor taste, so I don't think he should have been fired over offensive old Tweets he no longer makes. I'd say there are other reasons to fire him/not hire him in general. Having said all that, the modern Disney (going back at least ten years), is riddled with hiring perverts, nutjobs, and general angry people who go onto the online social media sewer holes like Twitter and Facebook, and spew diarrhea of the brain on there. There is a systemic problem from the fish head on down at Disney. It's telling, to me, that the only way these types of people get fired is when they finally get publically caught for their behavior; there's this, then of course the composer years ago that had a thing for children who's now in Federal Pound Me in the Ass prison. I would call bullshit they don't know the type of people they are hiring, since it happens so often. That's not to say they necessarily know all the intimate details (always got to say that because people online need to have their brains let around like dogs on a leash sometimes).
