Roger says

Early 80s action/adventure score gets a facelift, doubling the length of the previous CD release.

Roger would have said "fantasy" instead of "action/adventure" I guess.

Also, Excalibur has yet to have a legit CD release, which further negates this being that.

Caboblanco? Previous release was only 39 minutes.

Should be cool but it was released in 1980, not in the" early 80's", if you see what I mean. But i can be wrong and it's a good guess.

Roger considers 1980-3 years in a decade as 'early' and 1984 as 'mid', so it's not Conan, as that came out in 84.

From what I can tell most of the early 80's action adventure scores have received expansions.
Perhaps, *GASP* recording sessions for Road Warrior were found???

Mad Max 2 by Brian May?
Or Blue Thunder by Arthur B Rubinstein?

Blue Thunder was not an official Cd and it was 54 minutes long so...

The original LP of Blue Thunder was 43 minutes, so even if you discount the promo release, I can't imagine what would double its length. Even with the dance versions, I don't see how it could be much over an hour.

The Road Warrior, now that's another story....

You mean my soundtrack to BlueThunder is a bootleg? Aww....

Here's hoping that if it is The Road Warrior that it doesn't involve using direct audio lifts from the movie that includes sound effects.

Caboblanco? Previous release was only 39 minutes.

But how long is the score in the film? I had thought the existing release might even be the complete score.

Nice to see no one guessing it straight away.

Ford has drilled into us often enough that the Road Warrior tapes have been erased so unless there's been a miracle, I can't imagine it's that.
