So, what's the verdict on this release? Any word on whether this is worth it?

I remember, at the time, these recordings were our only recourse to hearing this music apart from the film. Long before the original soundtracks were pried from the vaults by our intrepid specialty labels, these CDs offered not only as-yet-unreleased scores for MAC AND ME, BILL AND TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE, SECONDS, THE ILLUSTRATED MAN and more - but also dug deeper to present previously unheard tracks from movies like INNERSPACE and THE ROAD WARRIOR.

Silva Screen eventually refined this model and put out a slew of re-recorded compilations (amidst much backlash from the purists) and I have to admit...I miss these sorts of movie music round-ups. They are indeed fun to return to - I wish they still made them (too bad the marketplace will not support them any longer).

For many years they were the only ones who had any of the WILD WILD WEST TOS. Main theme minor theme or two and end theme. Had three minutes and thats all there was til LLL.

Entertaining albums, all of them. There was also a lengthy suite from REMO WILLIAMS, SHOOT TO KILL, the main title from Robert Farnon's BEAR ISLAND and numerous other oddities.

I purchased it for the (at the time) unreleased music from Jaws The Revenge, and discovered other scores I was unfamiliar with and returned many times to tracks from Remo, Shoot to Kill. In that Silva compilation I also rediscovered Nate & Hayes which I had seen in theater many years before but instantanely remembered upon hearing the theme. Great that most of those unreleased scores are now available.

I finally received mine past weekend and I can say it's a stunning release!

Yes, it's a longer listen than the LLL program, and therefore maybe repetitve in some parts, but it's definitelly a very enjoyable symphonic score with big themes in complete form. They don't do it like this anymore.

The sound quality and the detailed artwork are also top notch.

The only flaw I see is that they should have put 3 tracks on disc 2 as Extras - German March, Hotel Part 1, and Part 2. In the main program they cut the dramatic symphonic flow, and I think that's somehow annoing.

A well worth album!

Yes those were great cd combilations and someone really had a knowledge of what kind of scores have been begging ( some still are )for a release like:
HIGHLANDER
REMO
JAWS 4
SUPER MARIO
BILL AND TED
etc.etc.

Now sold out at Intrada. This was fast and without previous warning...

I wonder if it sold well (it is a great score IMO) or if it sold poor and was deleted after the first batch.

It would be nice to hear if this sold out, and indeed wasn't just discontinued because it didn't sell at all...

It sold exactly as we had planned for it.

there was a "less than 50 remaining" warning 1-2 days ago at this forum (no idea if it was also at intrada's website)

It was posted here and all over Facebook and Twitter like 3 or 4 days ago. I jumped on it immediately.

When I saw the notice it was sold out. I was going to say "forget it" because, given the very short time it was available and the (virtually) no warning sellout, it may as well not exist at all (IMO). They think that everyone buys everything they might be interested in right away? I was, however, able to snag one via Amazon. Sold by, and shipped from... Intrada. Paid $1 more though. How many were made? 1000? Less?

Mutant: There was plenty of warning.

I visit this forum every day and it was gone when I checked this thread. I don't check Twitter or Facebook. I also don't have a smartphone. I assume that tweets, if you're following someone (or a business)... you can read them as they are posted. Maybe that's "plenty" in your book, but to me it isn't.

Roger Feigelson: It sold exactly as we had planned for it.

Which is the problem. Before there was a set number. Now, the "planned for it" is a secret. I also missed The Black Cauldron and Up, which I would have purchased. I almost purchased Up from Amazon until I noticed it is now a CDR.
