Hi there!

I am new to forums so I hope this isn't breaking any rules. But, I just got word Vince DiCola is having a show at The Whisky in Hollywood on 9/20! I am completely nerding out and I would LOVE to meet some other true 80's fans who love the OG Transformer movie soundtrack and the all time best soundtrack - ROCKY 4! I found tickets at the link below and the only reason I am sharing the link is because my friend got tickets for almost 50 bucks and here they are selling for 20!

https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3587232

Any way - nice to meet everyone and I hope this sparks a great night on the 20th! smile

ROCKY IV is one of my favourite scores too -- and my favourite in the entire ROCKY saga, for sure.

Alas, I live on the other side of the globe, but good luck on the event! And welcome to the forum.

If I am not mistaken he played this at Magfest in DC and it blew my mind. Wish you lived closer too so we could enjoy a night of incredible music!

Love Dicola's score the tempo comparison is vast too others - this was VD 1st composed orchestra added with synth electronics all well crafted had some S/FX elements tidy work. Rocky - Adrian theme was nice has an emotional quality. Dicola's theme of Rocky is pretty cool too the quirky training & final fight cues ends very well - fun listen IV..

I'm definitely a DiCola fan. Would love it if he came to the east coast to perform.

I heard that he may do a mini tour in PA next year, but I have yet to hear if that's solid or not. Hoping this Whisky show boosts some more performances!

I would make the four hour drive for that! Thanks for the heads up, danibelle!

I've been listening to my DiCola cds lately, I really enjoy his music! I have also been watching interviews with him and appreciate the respect he shows for Conti through his words and music, for instance when he incorporates Conti's REDEMPTION at the end of UP THE MOUNTAIN! I also own his TRANSFORMERS and STAYING ALIVE cds which I enjoy.
