A Motion Picture produced especially for Television!!!
Love this Burt Bacharach Theme. Never knew Ed recorded it. Burt's music always brings back fond memories of being a kid and watching TV-Movies in the late 60's and early 70's.
"The Movie Of The Week--presenting the world premiere of an original motion picture produced especially for ABC. Tonight, on The Movie of the Week . . . "
Not to take away focus from the 69 ABC intro, but...
Does anyone know who composed the late 70's into early 80's ABC Sunday Night Movie Intro music (AKA ABC Star Tunnel).
I still get the chills thinking about how that music would prelude Superman and Star Trek (among others) getting my family all pumped up. Back in time when the voice of Ernie Anderson made watching a movie on TV a special event.
I know they are all on YouTube to enjoy, but have yet to find a name associated with the music itself.

One source gives the following:

Composers: Ferdinand Jay Smith III (BMI), and Jeffrey J. Tyzik (ASCAP)
Original Publishers: A B C/Dunhill Music, Inc. (BMI); and American Broadcasting Music, Inc. (ASCAP)
1998 Publishers: ABC Circle Music, Inc. (BMI), of New York, NY; and American Broadcasting Music, Inc. (ASCAP), of New York, NY
