Netflix is testing how consumers react to "promos" between programs:

https://techcrunch.com/2018/08/17/netflix-tests-video-promos-in-between-episodes-much-to-viewers-dislike/

I am one of the suckers who is the recipient of the testing -- and I absolutely hate it. It is just like getting ads added into the programming. I say a big "no" to this so-called "service."

That would be a NO from me too.
They already make their money on the premise that we sign up to watch programming, without any other grot attached to it.
My fear is that this research test is just a facade and they have already decided to make this a regular thing regardless of what the test audience says.
If this is the case then this house will drop their service with the speed of someone half my age.

Ive heard they were going to test this a few years ago. But yeah, "F" them! I've said this before, the corporations encourage piracy with their greedy actions.

As it is, they are already close to being cancelled with that stupid "putting the show you just finished in the tiny upper-left box" feature.

Yeah, they sure know how to step on a sensitive closing scene. They don't even wait five seconds.
