"You Are The Pan" from Hook

YES!!!!! You Are The Pan is my absolute favorite track. I even have it as a ringtone. Gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it.

My man! It’s my favorite by a wide margin. Both sections give me goosebumps (when pockets is touching Pan’s face and when Rufio gives Pan his sword. The moment he starts to crow...chills every time).

Does having a favorite track as a ringtone spoil it for you? Or at least diminish the effect it has on you? I wouldn’t want to associate my favorite John Williams with a work phone call.

Actually for me it doesn’t. Besides the fact that I have made a ton of ringtones and alternate between them. Plus I usually set my good ringtones for my wife and she doesn’t call me very often, usually just text. And then there is the fact my phone is on silent 99% of the time so I don’t even hear the ringtones. Lol

The last 10-12 minutes of E.T. is about as perfect a harmony that I have ever seen between what's on screen and the music that accompanies it. The flying sequence, and then the build-up to the finale....that is the epitome of music underscoring the images on screen and a perfect blend between the two to strike the greatest emotional chord.

I was surprised it took so long for someone to mention E.T.'s bike chase and finale music (called by various names depending on what album/version). I think the best version is the "Adventures on Earth" that's just under 10 minutes in length. That track is simply one of the most amazing, moving, and powerful tracks from any film.
