Most here will know she was the voice of the Village PA in The Prisoner. You know i dont think i ever realised that! Of course its her voice. Very distinctive. Didnt she voice Pallenburg in barbarella too?

William Castle's 1963 remake of the James Whale classic THE OLD DARK HOUSE was filmed in England but it wasn't released there until 3 years after its U.S. premiere. In the film, "Tom Penderel" (Tom Poston), an American car salesman in London, delivers a car to an old mansion in Wales and discovers that his eccentric client, "Casper Femm" (Peter Bull), is dead. The car crashes in a raging storm, and Tom is invited to stay at the house by members of Casper's family, including his nieces, the demure young"Cecily" (Janette Scott) and the seductive "Morgana" (Fenella Fielding), and his "Uncle Potiphar" (Mervyn Johns), who has been building an ark in anticipation of another great flood. Each of the relatives is required to return to the dilapidated mansion before midnight each evening or forfeit his share of the family fortune. Benjamin Frankel provided the unreleased score for the film. Janette Scott and Fenella Fielding in THE OLD DARK HOUSE

In CARRY ON SCREAMING, young ladies are being spirited away in the woods by "Oddbod" (Tom Clegg), creation of fiendish "Dr. Orlando Watt" (Kenneth Williams). Henpecked "Sergeant Bung" (Harry H. Corbett) is on the case, but an early lead comes to nothing with the ghastly drowning while at work of lavatory attendant "Dan Dann" (Charles Hawtrey). Bung does seem to be having success with "Valeria Watt" (Fenella Fielding) and her very obvious charms, but completely fails to realize her sinister country house holds the key to the unimaginable horrors going on. Fenella Fielding wore the same, now iconic, red dress for the entire six weeks of filming. There were no copies or replacements. Fielding couldn't sit down in her dress, and had a leaning board behind her whenever she had to rest. Jewelry was bought from London for Fenella Fielding to match her dress. But Fielding had to buy her own ring for the role, which cost £9. Gerald Thomas directed this twelfth installment of the "Carry On" series, the longest (at 92 minutes) and one of the most popular in the series. Eric Rogers scored the 1966 film. Na, that was the husky, sexy-as-sin voice of Joan Greenwood (Kind Hearts and Coronets, Mysterious Island, Tom Jones). Ah yes, how could i forget that Kind Hearts voice! But both had very distinctive husky voices.
