Here is the 45 version of "Goldfinger" by John Barry.

This was included on the U.S. OST LP, but on the expanded Goldfinger CD, it is horribly out of phase.

Does anyone know if this arrangement is on any John Barry compilations in better sound than the Goldfinger CD?

It's on the old EMI CD of GOLDFINGER, where it sounds a little different. And both editions of the CD are still on iTunes, so you can just get the individual track.

Thanks. I guess I was really asking about the existence of a digital version of this track taken from a cleaner, lower-generation source than whatever was sent to the US for the Goldfinger LP.

You're right. The 45 sounds clearer that the two CD versions. The American LP master is probably to blame.

I looked through Spotify USA because they do have some Barry compilations. And I found it on what looks like an ad hoc collection called "Lost Pop and Doo Wop volume 4". The mastering is much better than the expanded soundtrack (I almost wish you hadn't pointed it out). It mght be the earlier EMI mastering, I'm not somewhere I can compare.
