Quarterflash's hit "Harden My Heart" features a memorable, possibly even iconic, saxophone riff:
There were quite a few songs in the late 1970s-mid 1980s period which featured the saxophone among the rock and pop cacophony. Which are some of your favorites? Or failing that, which songs in the pop-rock era have memorable saxophone riffs or solos in them? Please stick with songs from the rock and roll era (as Casey Kasem would say).
Just a few that come to mind:
Gerry Rafferty- "Baker Street" Men at Work- "Who Can it Be Now?" Glenn Fry- "You Belong to the City" George Michael- "Careless Whisper"
Funny that the Quarterflash song was the first to come to my mind.
Anyway, here's a really cool one. It's not cool just because you wouldn't expect it from Foreigner (a sax solo as opposed to just another guitar solo), it's also cool because it was Junior Walker. Can anyone confirm it's Junior on stage with the band? I seem to recall reading that it's him but I'm not sure.

Speaking of Junior Walker:
I'd select Junior Walker and the All-Stars's "Way Back Home".
