I’m visiting the Boulder/Denver area for a few days — any suggestions of places I can’t miss for film music hunting? Yavar

Twist and Shout and Wax Trax are great stores in Denver, worth going for all CD/vinyl lovers. There's also several Angelos used CD stores in the Denver area, and the great Albums on the Hill in Boulder. But frankly I don't buy CD's in stores any more, at least haven't for a long time, so don't know what anybody's got now in the way of soundtracks.

Thanks for the replies guys! I’ll try to check that boulder store out, at the very least... Yavar I've picked up some good classical titles at Bart's in Boulder. Albums on the Hill often has good stuff too. It's been years since I've been to Twist and Shout in Denver, but that would be the best bet in terms of selection, I would think. All great places, but most of these stores primarily carry vinyl (I don't know that Barts carries CDs at all anymore). Twist and Shout might be the exception, and as of several years ago it was a place where you could pick up relatively obscure soundtracks on CD. No idea if they still carry all of that now though - the vinyl resurgence has saved a lot of these places, but it comes at a cost.

Twist and Shout, Denver. Was in there a few months ago and they had a pretty diverse selection. Not like the old days, but close.

I've not been to Bart's in their latest location -when they were in their tiny space a few years ago they were mostly vinyl focused but in terms of classical and soundtracks would have a whole shelf of CDs for each. Fort Collins, where I live, had the great Finest Records for decades, now sadly defunct. But if y'all ever venture up this way, Bizarre Bazaar on College Avenue opposite the university is a wonderful used book/movie/CD/LP store. :-) I recently picked up a Silva Screen fantasy film collection there...

Zoragoth, my daughter is going to CSU so I've been visiting Fort Collins from time to time. And I agree that Bizzarre Bazaar is a terrific place to go for all kinds of things: books and CDs and tchotchkes and antiques and what not. Didn't spend too much time with their music when I was there but man what a fun place.
