I only watched like 15 minutes last night (had to go to bed!!), and there was a beautifully scored scene already.
When a letter is read. Hope this makes the album smile

So excited. I only found out last night that the creative team behind this was responsible for Sherlock. It didn't even occur to me that David Arnold would be involved as well.

Any armchair reviews from you lot??

I hear the show is great...but the album description over at SAE isn't encouraging. The dreaded sound design is mentioned....more SD than gothic orchestra? Wah.

From the team behind BBC’s critically acclaimed Sherlock comes Dracula, the reimagining of the iconic titular vampire for a 21st Century audience. Composers David Arnold and Michael Price reunite with writers and creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, to breathe musical life into another famous literary character from Victorian times.

For Dracula, Arnold and Price conceived an innovative and petrifying score, in which traditional instruments and musique concrete merge with contemporary use of samples and sound design. Scoring Dracula presented its own challenges and the composers have augmented the sound of the orchestra players by creating a library of sounds used throughout the score.

The series has received rave views after its premiere on BBC in the New Year as is now available on Netflix

I liked the show which surprised me because I wasn't expecting much. The music didn't really seem that great though. There was a couple of nice moments but on the whole there was nothing that made me want to rush out and buy it. Listening to the album could be a lot different though. Its on Spotify so I'll give it a go.

From another thread an entirely different review:
Spinmeister:
Dracula (BBC 2020)

It only figures that a BBC Dracula tell-all from the supercilious pens of Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat would aggrandize another glib, self-important asshole whose victims are more likely to meet their ends from sheer boredom than exsanguination. While Dolly Wells's irreverent Sister Agatha is another one of G&M's insufferably loquacious sleuths preternaturally endowed with the capacity of solving 2+2(Pi) up until the point their motor-mouth insight inconveniences the plot.

Utterly devoid of atmosphere, suspense or scares, Dracula unashamedly cribs the visual aesthetics of both the Hammer and Coppola entries, but neither the director nor editor seem at all invested in this retelling beyond delivering a rubbish haunted house ride aimed at the cheap seats.

David Arnold makes some noise.

Finished watching the show today.
Had watched sometime ago Ep. 1 and 2 and liked them, specially 2.
For some reason I had not watched the third episode yet. Was a bit surprised to discover that Ep. 3 actually is "the end". I thought it would be a longer series, but in fact the main ideas did not had much more places to go.
I liked Episode 3 ok. But it is much weaker than the other two.

Whatching the third episode made me enjoy the music much more, the final 10 minutes of the episode have some beautiful music, fortunately all included in the album (go to the last three tracks).
The album is a great selection of tracks, all the music that stands out in the series is in the album.

My favorite tracks are:
2 - Mina's Theme (the love theme, if I remember correctly it is the track for the letter scene)
7 - Hello Jonny (again the love theme)
14 - Bad Book
18 - A Pineapple
28 - Inside Your head
29 - Outgrown Beauty
30 - That is Everything
31 - The Fear (4:17) - the best one IMO
