Yeah, plus everyone's posts are poorly dubbed. All the "Mexicans" look like Italians, or is it Spaniards?

Strange, and not a western.

Italians, spaniards, ...germans and americans!

No, not a proper one. wink

"We can function without you, you know!"

Edw and I know you are just teasing. Separate continents and a huge ocean that separates us cannot diminish our radiance. I'm sure we were the main topic of discussion.

Should Edw and I get together, don't you think you would get more than a "mention?" Duh.

Actually, I envy the 3 of you who met. How fun.

Joan, you gotta get out of soggy, looney Portland(?) or Seattle(?) once every few years. Get your passport updated(?) and get the heck out of Dodge, so to speak.

That Lounge Lizard ain't heard a new soundtrack since 1971 and still thinks Nixon is President!

Knowing Onya's preference for style, I would say Kenendy.

Funny you should mention that, though. When I was foolishly shaving every day these past nine months, I would replicate the early 1960s by pretending to be a Nervous Angular Shorthair--think typical Twilight Zone character. I'd put on a JFK press conference while I dragged that painful razor over my ugly mug! I had to hurry because I "worked" at Sterling Cooper, and my boss, Don, was a real back buster...

Hey Jim, I live in the DRY side of Washington State. I'm surrounded by wheat farms and sagebrush. No yucky Seattle rain here. Passport is totally updated.

I can picture it now: Bill, TG, McGann, Thomas, and a few other UKers sitting over their warm pints during a particularly excruciating expansion discussion while Joan "Ecstasy of Gold" Hue warbles over the entire proceedings a la Edda Dell'Orso, though she would probably excuse herself from the room before it was her turn to buy a round.

I would buy ALL of the rounds.

Why, as fine English Gentlemen, we could not allow such a thing!
A regal U.S. Lady like yourself would only be required to grace us with your presence, m'am.
(Bill might ask you for a pint, though) wink

The only expansion I'd be talking about would be my waistline. All that Guinness takes its toll.

Ooh yes your highness, let me get you another champagne!! Let me reimburse you for your flight etc etc.

As the man in Varrick says "I got all the goodwill i need. You wanna know what i know, stick some money on the table!!" wink

Actually joan, remember when we discussed getting together just to discuss Carson? We live on opposite sides of the US and needed to decide where to meet in the middle.

I envy the 3 of you as well.

Nah, Bill, but we might have you for dinner. smile

Thank you, Kev. You are a gentleman. Perhaps you will meet Bill someday and can teach him a few things. (That is if he is capable of learning.)
Had to look up "Steve Gerrard" as referenced by TG. You must be cute.

I would be most generous buying drinks even for Bill.

Meeting up with OnyaBirri last year was a sincere sensation. We share a number of interests, especially a mutual fascination for 1955-75--give or take a year or two either way, so the conversation didn't need to stay on film music.

The sentiment is mutual. And the dimly lit bar made the transition from my parents' basement a little less jarring.
