Norman Reedus (THE WALKING DEAD)--$1 million
Elisabeth Moss (THE HANDMAID'S TALE)--$1 million

HOBBS & SHAW---Dwayne Johnson posted a photo from the FAST & FURIOUS spinoff movie introducing Vanessa Kirby as Hattie Shaw, an MI6 operative and Deckard Shaw's sister.

THEY SHALL NOT GROW OLD---Warner Bros. acquired the global theatrical rights to the Peter Jackson World War I documentary which uses digitally enhanced war film footage.

WALDO---Charlie Hunnam, Mel Gibson and Eiza Gonzalez star in this movie based on the novel LAST LOOKS in which a disgraced ex-LAPD detective becomes a private detective and investigates the murder of an eccentric tv star's wife.

ATTACK ON TITAN---Andy Muschietti (IT) will direct the Warner Bros. live-action movie based on the manga.

BOBA FETT---Lucasfilm sources say the cancelled Boba Fett movie would have focused on Boba Fett and the group of bounty hunters in the scene of them on the Super Star Destroyer in THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. The sources said THE MANDALORIAN tv series will not feature Boba Fett.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN---writer Stuart Beattie appears to be confirming that Johnny Depp will not be returning for the franchise reboot, "I think he's had a great run. Obviously, he's made that character his own and it's become the character he's most famous for now. And kids all over the world love him as that character so I think it's been great for him, it's been great for us, so I'm just very, very happy about it."

SNOW PONIES---Jon Bernthal, Evan Peters and Charlie Plummer star in this comedy movie about seven men who must transport a mysterious package across a dangerous landscape.

WACHOWSKIS---Lana and Lilly Wachowski are selling their Chicago studio offices which led to rumors they are retiring. Writer C. I’m hoping inspiration and the boredom of a brief retirement brings them back, Soderbergh style."

TYLER PERRY'S A MADEA FAMILY FUNERAL---Tyler Perry said the upcoming sequel will be the last, “This is it. It’s time for me to kill that old bitch. I’m tired. We’re gonna say goodbye in ’19. I just don’t want to be her age playing her.”

STOWAWAY---Anna Kendrick stars in this sci fi movie about an accidental stowaway on a spaceship headed to Mars with dwindling resources.

MADE IN ITALY---Liam Neeson and his son, Michael Richardson, star in this comedy movie about a London artist and his estranged son who travel to Tuscany to sell the house inherited from his dead wife. James D'Arcy is the writer/director.

STRANGE ANGEL---CBS All Access renewed the series for Season 2.

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA---producer Adi Shankar is reportedly in negotiations to develop a tv series based on the video game.

TRIVIA---more Halloween monster movie trivia.
The ABC tv movie THE NIGHT STALKER was the most-watched tv movie in history when it aired in 1972. The movie had newspaper reporter Carl Kolchak battling bloodthirsty vampire Janos Skorzeny as he preyed on Las Vegas women. Writer Richard Matheson reportedly got the vampire's name from famed Nazi commando Otto Skorzeny, who freed Italian dictator Benito Mussolini in a daring raid on a mountaintop prison and led German troops disguised as American soldiers in The Battle of the Bulge.

In THE NIGHT STALKER, newspaper reporter Carl Kolchak tries to save Las Vegas from bloodthirsty vampire Janos Skorzeny.

Writer Richard Mathson reportedly got Janos Skorzeny's name from Nazi commando Otto Skorzeny, who freed Italian dictator Benito Mussolini from a ski resort high in the Apennine Mountains. Mussolini was guarded by 200 military policemen and was freed without a shot being fired.

Adolf Hitler bestowed the Knight's Cross, Germany's highest military honor, on Skorzeny for freeing Mussolini.

In Operation Greif, Skorzeny led German soldiers disguised as GIs to infiltrate American lines on a mission of sabotage and disorder in the Battle of the Bulge. This photo shows a knocked out Operation Grief Panther tank disguised as a US M10 tank destroyer.
Ironically, in the 1960s Skorzeny worked for Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency, and reportedly assassinated a former Nazi rocket scientist working for Egypt.

PS---on another FSM thread, someone posted about me: "Yeah, would have been nice to supply the title. I guess Mr. Trivial wanted everyone to either ask or check his clues, so it's probably this--
The Wide World of Mystery (1973) "Distant Early Warning"

My reply: well, anyone questioning my motives about posting the Movie/TV News and trying to get people to ask me questions about movies or tv because I see myself as the God of Movie/TV Information is going to be disappointed. As I posted here before, most of Hollywood's movies are superhero/comic book movies, etc. and I don't read comic books or watch superhero movies. I've never seen a GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, AVENGERS, THOR, DEADPOOL, BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN or BATMAN V vs. MAYTAG REPAIRMAN movie (I've seen maybe 3-4 superhero movies in my entire life).
Anyone of my lackies asking me, the supposed Movie/TV News Czar, about tv info is also going to be disappointed, I haven't watched network tv since LOST went off the air. I have never been part of cable, satellite, etc., so I have never seen THE SOPRANOS, THE WALKING DEAD, etc.
As I've said before, most of the Movie/TV News bores me (remakes, reboots, revivals, prequels, sequels), and I'm somewhat interested in the trivia, which is why I added it this year.
As for the "clues", I don't have a clue (no pun intended) as to what supposed clues I post on the Movie/TV News.
I have no ulterior motives in posting the Movie/TV News, which I've been doing on and off since 2005---except to help other posters.

"The End"

I look forward to your news updates every day, even if, as you say, it's all sequels, prequels, reboots and superheroes wink

Boba Fett is dead and you made sure we knew it was dead, yet you're still going on about the Boba Fett movie you're never going to make. Boba Fett is dead but never mind we're making a new series with some character that looks just like Boba Fett. But don't worry Boba Fett won't appear in the series. Boba Fett is dead.

On a side note thank gawd you're not making a Bob Fett movie, since you seem to be going down the same horrible path as Solo.

FYI, in the excellent initial computer game Knights Of The Old Republic, some of the lore of Mandalor was featured. Some of the Jedi chose to fight against the Mandalorian Empire, a warlike race priding themselves on violence. They won that war, and the Mandalorian race was decimated. Boba Fett`s armour and helmet are Mandalorian... so to see that set of equipment on someone else is wholly reasonable, if not rare.

The quoted statement by Lucasfilm sources would seem to be merely an informative offering, not a marketting bit of hype on a dead project. As for the The Mandalorian, if it is as smart and fun as Rogue One, The Last Jedi, or The Force Awakens, I`m in. I`m looking forward to it (but *not* on an exclusive Disney channel... on bluray...).

I really don't know anything about the Star Wars lore outside of the movies. I just liked it better when Boba Fett was a lone bounty hunter with his own custom gear. Of course that got tossed out the window with Attack of the Clones.

Duane Johnson makes 5-6 feature films a year and a tv series?
No wonder he doesn't have time to listen to Blake Neely ARROW music!

Say what you will about Marvel movies, but they have managed a much more consistent--and higher--level of quality than our beloved sainted Star W_rs, which pretty much began circling the crapper in 1983.

Man of Steel was hard following the paced action, i know Superhero's are fast but now to quick for detailed eye. Henry Cavill performance was ok, but vs Zod Etc, it looked pretty lousy but not stupid as SW.

Keep doing what you'e doing, Dragon, personally I love these threads and they' the first ones I look for on each board visit.

But, Jeff Rice created The Night Stalker and named the vampire Skozeny in his original novel. Matheson just adapted it for television. razz
