I saw the movie at the London Film Festival a few weeks ago. A Private War is directed by Matthew Heineman and stars Rosamund Pike, Jamie Dornan, Stanley Tucci and Tom Hollander. The movie is based on Marie Brenner’s 2012 Vanity Fair story Marie Colvin’s Private War and chronicles the life of the late American-born British war reporter Marie Colvin.
Film is fairly grim but well worth seeing. Rosemund Pike is excellent.
Score works well in the film. Is released today as a download and next week on CD.
Pretty terrible. The film is OK... the score just fills-in for the sound effects department and does pretty much nothing besides that. Rather wasted opportunity.
