There is a really scary and mammoth flea market not too far from where I live. Lots of people wearing American flag t-shirts selling guns, knives, and cardboard boxes filled with random broken stuff. I go there once a year to buy large-dog-size Advantage for my cats. Using a syringe to measure the precise amount, it is a lot cheaper to buy the dog size than the cat size. At any rate, I try to get in and out of there as fast I can. I was there yesterday, and just as I was trying to get out of there, I see a vendor with a bunch of CDs. The spines were facing up, so it was easy to read the titles and recognize labels via the graphics. Lots of junk, bad 80s and 90s rock stuff, but then I see a brown Varese spine. I take it out to look at what it is, and it is a cabaret music compilation, produced by none other than Bruce Kimmel. You never know what you will find at the flea market.

I woke up several times last night to go urinate, I dunno, maybe it's old age or I should have someone look at it (a doctor, that is). I was scratching an ankle and wondered if I had fleas, and then thought, or maybe it was a dream, it's really hard to tell at this point, but anyway, I wondered if someone looking for flea medication at a flea market might have found any soundtracks, and would post about it on FSM. Sure enough, there's a post! But it's not about soundtracks, it's cabaret music. On the other hand, at least it's not about buying tube socks and bongs. You never know what you'll find in the FSM Music board.

You saw him at the market and didn't take his picture?! I should have taken a pic of the spine of the CD to show what it was being sold with. How it ended up in that collection I will never know. You just don't expect to find CDs of cabaret music among bikers selling guns and knives. Are you implying ' real men' don't appreciate the Great American Song Book"?
