He says Varese Sarabande will be releasing an album of about 35 of his TV theme songs.

That's not Sí Qué, Carson. It's the other Graham. Would be interested to know the details of the Charles Fox release on Varese. TV theme songs? He did a few great ones, but a whole CD's worth? We need more details, Graham - and I'm not talking to m'self. I love Charles Fox's music.

No interest in this, but I'd inquire with Varese about Charles Fox's actual soundtracks if I thought they would even send an automated reply, which they wouldn't. I've tried several times to contact him via his own website (no reply), and asked Intrada who released some of his soundtracks but they somehow don't have his contact information. Very disappointing all around. Here's his site:

At 1 hour 45 minutes no way could I get through the whole thing, but I tried to navigate around it for things of interest to me. Must admit, I didn't catch the details of Varese's TV Theme Songs compilation that The Other Graham mentioned, but I'm glad I heard Charles Fox talking a little about BARBARELLA, and his stories about Bob Crewe, and visiting Jane Fonda and Roger Vadim in Paris. That BARBARELLA is one of the greatest soundtracks of all time.

This is about Charles Fox, so it ain't as off-topic as it might seem - or maybe it is, but since I'm here...

Given that he's largely known for his Bacharach-style melodies and pop sensibilities, anyone know how he got the job of scoring BUG (great Bradford Dillman film about fire-starting cockroaches)? I seem to recall that that one was completely electronic, totally atonal, and about as far from Love American Stlye and Pufnstuf as you can get. I know he's accomplished at scoring "straight" drama, but BUG is as if Robert Wise had asked Burt Bacharach to do THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN. Or Charles Fox for that matter.

He did a great score for the Charlton Heston thriller "Two-Minute Warning".

He did a great score for the Charlton Heston thriller "Two-Minute Warning".

Action disaster music ala Williams, as I recall. I like his poignant music for TV movies "My Father's House" and scifi "The Stranger Within." And tv thriller "Dying Room Only." No excuse for these not being available. mad

He only mentioned the Varese release in passing.
