I have. But to be honest, if you asked me what the plot was of any given film (by title), I'd probably get them all confused. big grin However, they are very entertaining...

FWIW, I didnt like the first score as an album.
Saw the film then loved it.
Marathon'd the series a week ago, again, before this landed today - highly recommended. It's one of those. Not that they dont work independently, it just helps seeing the films.

Seen the films. Read the books. The books help to appreciate the films, and the films help to appreciate the music. But I would have bought this box anyway.

Same here. Mine is on its way. Ordered Dracula and it was shipped but the post office here in the UK decided not to inform me that there was a customs charge to pay so it was sent back. I contacted Varese Sarabande and they are helpfully sending out another.

USPS shipping was excellent but the PO in the UK are not up to scratch IMO.

I took out the expletive from my earlier post, but my opinion still stands. Totally amazing set. I may be bold for saying, but I feel the sound quality alone is the best sounding I have ever heard from any score recording, ever. And I have heard a lot of them. This is a bar setter.

Mine arrived! It's such a beautiful looking set, I'm resisting opening it, but look forward to savouring it during the holiday break. Thanks to everyone involved for making this a reality.

This set was high on my Christmas list and my wife got a box from La-La Land today that looks to be the right size... I guess I'll know if it is on Tuesday.

I finally finished the 7+ hours listening of the set. THIS IS ABSOLUTE GOLD!!! The sound quality is incredible! And there's so much new stuff to discover! I hadn't listened to Williams HP work for at least 3 or 4 years and I can say with the distance of a fresher ear that what he produced for HP is some of his most inspired and finest work!!!
THANK YOU LALALAND! I wish you a great and restful holiday.

Also received my order. Thank you, wizards of La-La Land. This is a great one. Love the audio quality. Especially fond of the new music from the third movie!

Only complaint: wish the track lists had been on the back of the CD boxes or in the booklets of the CDs themselves, instead of in the separate booklet. But this is a small one, guys.

I'm actually amazed that, in spite of this being John Williams and Harry Potter, there are stil units for sale of this box.

It's great to have all of the music from the first two films. They're a lot of fun, the first one is pretty iconic at this point, and second one really benefits from being able to hear how the “Chamber of Secrets” theme develops over the course of the score.

But Prisoner of Azkaban is up there with my favorite John Williams scores ever. Despite the more textural approach to certain elements of the story, it is nevertheless bursting with ideas and activity. “Double Trouble” is such an earworm. Since receiving this set on Saturday, I've listened to all of it, but as good as the first two scores are, Prisoner of Azkaban is just divine.

VERY interesting to hear what Williams recorded for the end credits — I have to say that I like the (extremely well-done) cue montage that takes over after the “A Window to the Past” sequence a bit better in context of the film, but I quite like the original recording as a piece of music. Obviously Williams was open to the idea of recapping the score with the suite of cues, as it is not only his assembly in the film (there are some really subtle bits there, like when “Buckbeak's Flight” segues into the tail end of “The Rescue of Sirius”), but a variation of thereof on the album as well.
