I was browsing one of the stores based in France, and my Google automatically translated all the titles from French to English. The thing is, I don't think they were even called anything like that in French. Or perhaps some were... I'm familiar with the titles in Spanish, but what about the following?

From the Herrmann catalogue it's easy to work out THE MARIEE WAS IN BLACK and THE NUDES AND THE DEAD. Perhaps even THE MONSTER IS LIVING.

But NORTH BY NORTHWEST is now KILLING IN KITCHEN (AKA THE DEATH IN THE KIT).
CAPE FEAR becomes THE NERVES A VIF.
And VERTIGO is... COLD SWEATERS.

For Jerry Goldsmith it's easy to get THE MOMMY and COLONOL EXPRESS VON RYAN. But....

ONLY ARE INDOMPENTS (LONELY ARE THE BRAVE).
THE TERRIBLE DROP (TAKE A HARD RIDE).
SMASH (PLAYERS).
A EQUALLY WEAR (THE CHALLENGE).
WOMEN AT RISK ASSISTANCE (RENT-A-COP).

Alfred Newman's got the following -

BORGIA FAILURE (PRINCE OF FOXES).
FATAL FISHING (LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN).

And Alex North's BITE THE BULLET becomes, somehow, THE WILD CHEESE.

Still 4,926 titles to go...

Couldn't resist one more, which needs no translation. Or perhaps it does. No clues -

CHERIE, I ENLARGED THE BABY

Sorry, I'm addicted now. From my favourite composers, I really need -

Lalo Schifrin:

THE MADMAN MISSION OF DOCTOR SCHAEFFER
THE PLANET OF THE MONKEY

Miklos Rozsa:

MURDS IN CASCADE
THE DOCTOR'S HOUSE EDWARDES
THE WAR OF THE BRAINS

Jerry Fielding:

GENERATION PROTEOUS
THE FLINGER

John Williams:

CAP ON THE STARS
MOM I RATE THE PLANE, and its sequel...
MAMAN I STILL RATE THE AIRCRAFT
THE TOOTH OF THE SEA, and its sequel...
TEARS OF THE SEA PART 2

Michael Small:

THE TEETH OF THE SEA 4

Let me just check if they've got the Alan Parker score... back in a minute...

Yes! TEETH OF THE SEA 3D!

P.S. - I changed the topic title to make it more piste of sound amable.

P.P.S. SEURS FROIDES - COLD SWEAT for VERTIGO in France, not bloody COLD SWEATERS!

Check this site out

http://www.translationparty.com/

Only does Japanese but it translates back and forth until both versions are the same.

(There was an even better site that would go between a bunch of languages at once but alas that site is long ago RIP)

I quite like the idea of Cold Sweaters – as worn by ice maidens presumably.
Rozsa's Lost Weekend becomes The Poison...

(Schickele's Silent Running becomes And the Land {or perhaps, Earth} Will Survive – which is kinda interesting)

Yeah, SILENT RUNNING was known in France (and I think Canada) as "And the Earth Will Survive", so in some cases the Google traductor (sic) is making a direct translation from the French. It's better than the Spanish title, "Mysterious (Space)ships".

Still don't know how they got THE WILD CHEESE from BITE THE BULLET.
