I will never understand when people are endlessly yakking about what Herrmann should be done, why The Man Who Knew Too Much is never mentioned. I feel like it is yakked about often! A veritable yak attack.

That's between $40,000 and $80,000. And all to sell about 2000 units at £20 per pop. So $10K to $50K loss if you are very generous and calculate with $15 profit per disc. Think about that one ... if you make $15 profit per disc, you won't make a loss! :-) But I think I know what you mean, the sales minus the manufacture costs, but I'm assuming the $40,000-$80,000 cost range is total cost of production.

I've also said elsewhere I would be in the market for a new PSYCHO which preserves the fast tempo and aggressive performance of the film version. Roger Fiegelson kindly pointed out the Danny Elfman recording had these properties, it's just not complete. Maybe a complete release of that recording would be the ticket here. I remember seeing that post by Roger, saying he was working to license that recording for a complete release on Intrada. I can't for the life of me find the post now -- do you have it on hand? Yavar

I will never understand when people are endlessly yakking about what Herrmann should be done, why The Man Who Knew Too Much is never mentioned. Seriously. A major Hitchcock film that has never had a soundtrack release and whose score is wonderful AND you'd get a great recording of the Benjamin piece AND the two Livingston and Evans songs - but even without those three pieces, it would be a great score to have. Everyone just regurgitates the same five titles over and over and over again. I would LOVE to have this score!!!!!!!!!!
