Few in Hollywood have a career resume that rivals that of Grayson Hall.

First, she played Pepe, the club owner in "Satan in High Heels," with a great jazz score by Mundell Lowe.

Then she played the schoolmarmish Judith Fellowes in "Night of the Iguana," prompting this great exchange with Richard Burton:

Hall: "Father, have you been drinking?"
Burton: "Madam, if I'd been drinking, I would still be drinking."

Then she played Margaret Miller in "That Darn Cat," which contains a great Mancini-esque score that should be expanded, if possible.

Then she played Miss Maxwell in "Who Are You, Polly Magoo," with a great score by Michel Legrand, which I don't think has made it to CD.

And finally, her crowning achievement, playing DR. JULIA HOFFMAN on DARK SHADOWS, featuring amazing music by ROBERT COBERT!

I thought Grayson Hall was a huge country estate in Oxfordshire.

I lover her style of acting. Larger than life.

I got her mixed up with Grayson Perry. Which is more understandable smile

I only know her from the TV movie Gargoyles.

I particularly love the second set of clips here, thanks msmith. I used to come home from Jr. High School and watch 'Dark Shadows' with one of my sisters; wasn't it on like every other weekday or something? Watching this second set of clips, I'm imagining Grayson Hall and Jonathan Harris being on the same show...Dr. Smith would show this woman how to overact with style. Maybe.

She's one of the best things in NOTI, trying to keep sexpot niece Sue Lyon away from a very tempted Richard Burton. Her over-the-top hysterics are something to behold until Ava Gardner tells her off at the end.
