No effing way Happytime Murders and Sisters Brothers cost that much.
As for Robin Hood, it is comical that Lionsgate executives looked at the script, the rushes and the final cut and thought, 'We are gonna make so much moneys!'. William Goldman was right as rain.
40 million is a 'cheap' movie budget these days. 40 years ago that was considered an expensive film, now, 40 million is barely even considered a mid budget movie. So those figures for those films are probably pretty accurate. The fact is that making a movie, even a cheap and bad one, is absurdly expensive.
Yes that awful Robin Hood project, which looks more like an X Box game than a movie, should never have been made.
