Now that word is been announced that Lucas and his merry band are preparing the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles for a DVD release, will these be the ORIGINAL one hour episodes, or will we have them cut together as features?

Wow!!! Where'd you find this out?! I haven't seen anything about the TV series being prepped for DVD yet, but I'm dying to have the show (I'd have bought the VHS releases from a few years ago, but I held out for DVD; apparently so did many others, and ironically this resulted in poor sales of the VHS releases, which made Paramount reluctant to do DVDs...).

I'm hoping that if/when the series is released, there'll be options to watch both the original versions and the reedited "movies" (that each combine two chronologically adjacent episodes into a single feature-length program, using new bridging footage).

"The same publication sites rumors that the 4th disc of Paramount's The Adventures of Indiana Jones: The Complete DVD Movie Collection will feature a batch of deleted scenes from all three of the films, including an extended Cairo fight scene between Indy and the swordsman. And Lucasfilm is reportedly hard at work on DVDs of the Young Indiana Jones TV series for next year."

That's the word from TheDigitalBits (thanks for the heads-up, newgalactican!). I wonder how good this info is (not TheDigitalBits, but their source for this) - there hasn't been any official word yet on the Indy site or elsewhere. I really hope this is true, though (and if so, I hope these discs sell well, darn it!)...

That's ok.
I'm hoping that the bloopers reel from the Indy Trilogy will be included. I saw them about ten years ago, after they were screened at one of the Worldcon events.

Well, so much for rumors. No deleted or alternate scenes at all on the set of the feature films (even though we're given a glimpse of the shooting of some of those scenes), and no Young Indiana Jones Chronicles set in 2004. Oh, well...
