I finally received my copy of ENDLESS RIVER in the mail -- my first CD purchase in a long, long time (maybe years), at least as far as non-film music goes.

It should really be of interest to people here, since it's 90% instrumental and has a definite film music vibe.

Only a few tracks in, but I'm lovin' what I'm hearing.

Same here Thor, really the 2nd CD I've bought in 2014. I've heard it about 4 times and love it!

No idea. I hadn't even heard of that before. Thanks for the tip.

Here's a forum thread discussing the Roger Waters music heard in that Magritte documentary:

Is it true that The Endless River has a different CD mix in Europe than the American mix? Is the same true for the last release of the entire back CD catalogue?

I have no idea, but that sounds weird.

Fan-made, most likely.

So you worked on WHEN THE WINDS BLOW? That's cool.

Hey, Thor, apropos our earlier chat here (back in 2008) I more recently got to reminisce about Roger Waters and his score for "When the Wind Blows" here: http://bit.ly/FlashfilmsWTWB

The link is to my blog about a new Twilight Time Blu-ray that I was involved with, so pardon the slightly off-topic, off-topic discussion.

Yes, it really works as a soundtrack. I think the album defends its release. A typical "4" on the dice...

For me, it's a definite "5". I don't know....there was just something about this that made me put it among all the 'second best' Floyd albums.
