INTRADA Presents:

LIMITED PROMOTIONAL RELEASE OF BRUCE BROUGHTON'S
ORIGINAL SCORE TO JEREMIAH

Intrada is proud to announce the promotional release of Broughton's
score to JEREMIAH, a limited number of which are available for sale.

Several years ago in Italy, Lux Vide embarked on the ambitious project
of making 11 films based on the Old Testament: Genesis, Solomon,
Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Samson and Delilah, Solomon, Jeremiah,
Esther, and Jesus. Each film engaged a high-caliber cast and technical
staff, providing faithful retellings in order to preserve the cultural
and spiritual importance that so many millions place on the Old
Testament. One of their films, JEREMIAH portrays the story of the prophet who
abandons all, including his family, to act as God's messenger. His
mission: warn Jerusalem about the destruction of the Holy City. The
people of the city see him as a traitor and persecute him, yet his
prophecy comes true and he watches as the Babylonians destroy the city
and take the inhabitants prisoner. JEREMIAH stars Oliver Reed, Leonor
Varela, Patrick Dempsey, and Klaus Maria Brandauer.

Bruce Broughton was the composer of choice for this installment of the
bible series. For JEREMIAH, Broughton composed an ethnic score,
featuring much percussion and detail that reflects the flavor of the
time. The score features members of the Sinfonia of London in a
dramatic, orchestral score that stretches Broughton into a new style of
film composition for him.

A limited number of these CDs will be available for sale to offset
manufacturing costs.

This is quite unlike anything else I've heard by BB, but it has a beauty and serenity that I find quite amazing. I generally tire easily of Arabic/Middle Eastern based scores, but this one is always rewarding to me.
Exquisite!
