I saw 10 minutes in the middle of this film yesterday, and the score was really nice, reminding me somewhat of Patrick O'Hearn's uptempo music from the same period.
The music played through the whole scene, as a kind of montage of Estevez and Moore driving through the landscape.
I guess I have to see this film when it shows up on TV again.
Love the Tangerine Dream-like opening, in particular.

Did Elfman ever talk about why he wrote a score like this for Wisdom?
Not that I can remember. It's a very unique entry on his resume. None of his other scores sound like this, although there are elements that bear some resemblance to his Oingo Boingo work.
