Really obscure question, but I'm sure there's someone reading this board who might know this... I was always under the impression that Fox's contribution to THE GREEN SLIME was the groovy title song - it sounds very close to the work he did for BARBARELLA. Plus, there was a Japanese composer who was co-credited who I also assumed did the underscore... the film was released in Japan in a somewhat different version and under a different title without the song. I just found a CD that had THE GREEN SLIME theme (in stereo!) and according to the notes, one Sherry Gaden is credited with writing the song... so now I'm wondering if my assumption was totally off base and Fox DID contribute to the underscore. Anyone out there who might have any idea? BTW, the name of the cd with THE GREEN SLIME theme is MONSTER ROCK 'N ROLL SHOW on DCC Compact Classics -- out of print, but can be found on the Internet for reasonable prices.

Just found something that seems to shed a bit more light (I hope). As mentioned, the song was apparently written by Sherry Gaden - who is credited on the 45 that was released with the title song. Reading a passage from Charles Fox's autobiography on THE GREEN SLIME, he mentions he re-scored part of it and tracked in previous cues on the promise he go uncredited, and of course he shares the music credit with Toshiaki Tsushima. But he doesn't mention the song at all. However, googling further, the Library of Congress copyright catalog for 1971 (I can't find 1968) has several entries for songs by the following: w & m Sherry Gaden, pseud. of Ed Fournier & Richard Canada, pseud of Richard Delvy. Richard Delvy is credited on the MGM GREEN SLIME 45 as producing, arranging, and conducting the track, but also sang the song, while the only other Gaden credits I can find is for a cartoon called Mission Magic and the 1974 animated OLIVER TWIST, where she is credited as composing with Richard Canada. Also credited as arrangers: Ed Fournier and Richard Delvy. So unless there's some shenanigans, it seems safe to assume Ed Fournier wrote 'The Green Slime'.

This nitwit has more pseudonyms than Guy Haines.
