Last month I downloaded this score from Chandos - see: https://www.chandos.net/products/catalogue/NX%203369 ... it includes the digital booklet - 15 pages of text + covers. Naxos release, 26 tracks.

As I chose the "Studio" 24 Bit / 48k format I can confirm: it sounds pretty good! smile

Sorry to bump up this old thread, on the verge of getting the CD, yes after many years. Question which is the one to get Marco Polo or Naxos. I realise the Naxos has the trailer music other than that is there any difference? I assume the booklets will be the same and the quality in recording the same. Thank you for any insight.

I think the Marco Polo edition has the liner notes booklet whereas the Naxos reissue series does not feature the same extensive liner notes (shortened ?). So, thats why I prefer to pick the Marco Polo editions for those titles which I hadnt purchased or missed.

Thank you Amer, I found a very good copy of the Marco Polo edition at a very good price, so I went with that. I can live without the trailer music, especially in light of Basil's observations.

The DVD-A release has terrific dynamic sound and in multichannel for those with a home theater setup which is one area where downloads have lagged. Now that Dolby Atmos is the new toy in audio maybe we'll get this recording that way too.

Morgan and Stromberg did many, many outstanding recordings but this one is among their very best.
