And that means Stefan Miklos, James Phillips etc etc! Have you been to the NIGHT GALLERY website? I stumbled upon it almost by accident, but it's got lots of goodies. What particularly called my attention was their claim that they are preparing "a CD release of the scores". Well, it's Universal of course, so that may not come to pass. I even e-mailed them at the Serling site about this but, as yet, have had no reply. I couldn't see when the site had last been updated either, by the way. However, there are soundclips up from the original shows, with sound effects and dialogue included. It showcases many of the great scores for the series, including Billy Goldenberg's work for the pilot, plus the contributions to the series by fine composers such as Robert Prince, Oliver Nelson and Gil Mellé. If you go to the site, click on the Episode Guide. www.nightgallery.net

Ah, again a problem with the colour blue. Why can't we access the site directly? Blah, maybe we can. Technology.

Graham, You may want to know I sent Gil Melle a DVD copy of the pilot CYBORG: THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN two weeks ago because he did not have his own copy. That's all I can say for now on Gil's involvement with Harve Bennett and Universal with regarding this production. Sorry if I sound mysterious on this, but the truth is stranger than fiction. You can also become a member of THE NIGHT GALLERY group via their website and receive daily messages. James

I kind of suspected that the announcement in question had been up for some time. Oh well, no album, but it's still nice to click on those episode clips (and see all those lovely paintings again too). Yes, that electric violin from the Oliver Nelson scores was pretty much THE sound of NIGHT GALLERY, and in fact that was the piece that seemed to find its way into plenty of episodes. Great composer, and great jazzman. Oh, and James, looking forward to hearing the next update of The Gil Mellé Files!
