Thanks to GreatGonzo for the notice on the Harold Lloyd scores. All these albums are up on Spotify, and great fun listening to it right now. (And I'm not one for silent film scores, but Davis is just so expert at this kind of thing.)
Out of curiosity, did anyone hear his new score for Steamboat Bill Jr. at the TCM Festival? I would very much like to know how it sounds.
My girlfriend attended the screening with Davis' live score. She really enjoyed it, as did most of the audience and TCM film fans that she was hanging with. A few claimed that it took away from the experience, but I think they were just being picky.
