I'm going to try to post weekly images of soundtrack LPs which, to my knowledge, have never been issued on CD (if they have let me know)and to keep it interesting by going for some of the more off the wall LPs or covers.
Before he worked on TV's early "Star Trek", Alexander "Sandy" Courage obviously had cojones of steel when he scored the film "Hot Rod Rumble" (aka "Road Devils"). The now highly sought after Liberty LP #3048 from 1957 is sought not only for its jazzy score (featuring.e.g. Pete Candoli, Maynard Ferguson, Barney Kessel, Shelly Manne and many more) but for a classic early T&A LP cover! Wonder what ever happened to Leigh Snowden and Richard Hartunian? If you kinda squint your eyes, Richard might be Lukas' twin. :-)
If you want to see images of stuff you've heard of but never seen, let me know and I'll try to accommodate in the future.
Cheers
Mike

I have seen ever so many album jackets, but I don't recall seeing that one before. Thanks.

I knew that Courage's score was released on LP, but somehow Hot Rod Rumble never made it to my "must have" list.

This was Richard Hartunian's only movie appearance. He died shortly after the film was released. Leigh Snowden died of cancer at aged 51 in 1982. Here is a link to her mini-bio on IMDB:

Oh, I wish some of CourageĀ“s film scores were available on CD.

A few years ago I came across a reissue of this LP on French EMI, used but in pristine shape. Only ten bucks, and like an idiot I passed it up...

I recently received a LP-transfer of this score. Very enjoyable.

Egads! - Mike. I hope you dig a little deeper into what I'm sure is a most outstanding library of soundtrack albums to find a cover that's worth presenting on this board.

I mean, what's next? PANIC BUTTON?

Eugene, I gave serious thought to starting this off with the "Panic Button" LP (which some of you may remember as my #1 T&A soundtrack cover from my "Sex Sells" series in FSM a few years back) but thought that it might be a bit racy (remember that word?) for some of the old far..., er, hearts on this board (my peers?),though Jayne's acting assets might cause a run into deep FSM Board analysis of the scores of Georges Garvarentz...but then again, be careful of what you wish for Gene. Jayne may pay a visit at some future date, when things really get too serious.
Cheers
Mike

Yeah!

I used to love The Adventures of Recordman installments in FSM... what happened to them?

"Recordman sees a copy of High Tor without a cover. It looks like a black pepperoni pizza."
