In case anyone didn't see the notice in the Trading Post, I just got an e-mail which said that Kevin Hall aka messageboard member K-9 died of injuries from a car accident recently. He had been a member here since 2001.

This is not the first time we've lost an FSM member. Some of you might remember Guy McKone from half a decade ago.

In any case, this is very sad news, and my sincerest condolences to Kevin's family in this hour...

Terrible terrible news. I never knew Kevin personally but his love for fil music was obvious and he was clearly a much loved member of the board.

My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Yeah, I remember Guy McKone Thor!frown

I don't remember communicating much with Kevin but that doesn't make it any less sad and under tragic circumstances too.

It's never good when we lose 'one of "our" own'!

Very very sad.frown

Sad thing, even though I don't remember seeing much of him.
Anyway-- "from injuries in a car accident": I hope his sufferings were alleviated somehow (painkillers?).

His posts following his accident seemed upbeat. I wonder what happened to change so radically? I guess it doesn't really matter, but it's such a shock to lose a fellow Board member and fan. My heart goes out to his family. He seemed like a really nice guy, too.

I'll listen to some favorite scores in your memory, Kevin. Rest well.

This is sad. Please forward my deepest condolences and heartfelt sorrow to his family and friends. He went before his time. Take care, out there, Kevin.

You will always be with us.

The loss of one of our own in a year that has already been suffering such loss and sadness really brings it all home.

Makes me want to hug my loved ones and tell them I love them even more than I already do.

Bless you, K-9, and rest in peace. My sincere sympathy to his family and friends.

Wow, this is sad. I always thought K-9 was a rather young, nice guy. There is no fairness in this. My sympathy to his family.

Sad news.

In a way we are fortunete to find out what happened.

On a forum like this it's very possible that a person you discuss your passion with every day cokes to his end, without anyone here ever finding out about it...

This is really sad to hear. He seemed quite OK after the accident in september, but things must have got worse.

Let us all play an END CREDITS-piece for him tonight.

I updated two threads on the trading post board to note this unfortunate news about K-9, Kevin Hall, but didn't think to put it on this board at the time. Thanks, Thor. I sent his brother a link to this thread, so he may see our expressions of sympathy.

What correspondence I had with Kevin, and a CD trade, indicated he was a nice guy, conscientious, reliable and friendly. He posted a message right after his release from the hospital saying he would try to follow through with his deals within a few days. He obviously thought he was recovering, but must have taken a sudden turn for the worse. It's sad to find out now that he did not recover.

My condolences too.

Rest in peace, buddy.

Condolances to Family and Friends. Does anyone know if this is the same Kevin Hall that lived in the Saratoga California Area? I went to Jr. College with a Kevin Hall in the Theatre Dept. who loved Movie Music. He adored LOGAN'S RUN and Bill Conti's ROCKY. He was a real character and good guy. Rest in Peace.
