Hello, I was just wondering if you people ever had sex underscored by film music, and which scores, in your opinions, are the best to have sex by. I suppose it depends from what kind of sex one is having (or intending to have). Some examples: Shakespeare in Love for a romantic mood; Ed Wood for something funnier; Basic Instinct for something thrilling; Total Recall for some action and Jurassic Park Opening Titles for something short. If you think this is something indecent to ask, you don't have to answer. I was just wondering.

And of course in MY case, I always listen to the Eric Carmen song All By Myself or Alone Again(Naturally)! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! B)

TITANICI had sex with Horner''s Titanic score playing in the background. it's perfect, starting of witrh slow, soft music, then building into more robust adventurous music. That then turns to agressive, fast paced and punding music, and the highlight the last 1;5 minutes of "Death Of Titanic" With that 2 note brass phrase that repeats over and over again getting ever so much more faster and louder.....perfekt music to bring you to your climax. And the last few tracks are great for the afterplay (soft relaxing music) The only problem is, that soundtrack is to short. I mean 60 minutes?.....that's just the warming up session...... Stefancos- who wonders what it would be like to have sex with the Star wars 4 CD Antology playing in the background. NP- Star Wars: The Phantom Menace- Ultimate edition.

I think the perfect sex music would be John Barry's Body Heat.

Duel of the Fates.......yes I'm serious I did.Actually I prefer songs. An example would be Berlin's "Take My Breat Away" from Top Gun. I would find it hard to play scores unless I had pre-recorded some music. I guess you could have one tape/cdr with love themes and another with fast tempo tracks. Ahh imagine going at it with Jerry G's "The Hunt" from POTA or Williams' "The Asteroid Field" from TESB. http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/biggrin.gif">

Too true, Graham. But I always thought the structure of The Final Battle on Gerhardt's Star Wars album should be fitting.NP: Anton Bruckner: Symphony #8 (Münchner Philharmoniker, Sergiu Celibidache)

OK...I am now sharing stuff that truly should remain PRIVATE.SHAME ON ME! I may live to regret this... Bonita & I have been married for very nearly 27 years (as of this November 2). We have truly been ONE FLESH for all of these years, but the most exciting and invigorating sexual experiences that we have enjoyed together were all accompanied by Basil Poledouris' music from Conan The Barbarian! Not MY choice...but, Bonita's! YEAH! Look...I don't claim to understand what that music does for my wife...I'm just THANKFUL that it DOES!!! http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/biggrin.gif">

does this necessarily encompass sex with another person? I believe music to *score* by includes: Betty Blue The Game 1492 - the main theme there is really motivational Eyes Wide Shut Thomas Crown Affair Random Hearts Basic Instinct Run Lola Run The Big Blue End of the Affair Being John Malkovich Daylight - main theme *boom boom* I'm sure that lady who choreographs the Oscar interpretive dance segments would've had fun with this one if it was nominated And of course... Shawshank Redemption... oh and the Lion King can be a lot of fun too.

Chris, you may not believe this, but Conan the Barbarian is my favorite when I'm being intimate with my husband, too. It does something to him, it does something to me. Not only that, but my good firend Laura (no last names here) who is a moderate filmscore collector, also prefers Conan during lovemaking. There's something special in the music that has a reaction on women as it is very passionate even during the action themes, and something in it that inspires rhythm in our men....blush.------------------ Crusaders of Animation Scores deserving of a CD release! Samanthasmom suggested Barry's "Body Heat", which I think is a damn fine idea. How about his "Somewhere In Time" as a pre-coital mood-setter, especially as background to a fine, candle-lit dinner? Also suitable for this section of the evening would be Barry's "Indecent Proposal" suite, and Angelo Badalamenti's "Cousins". ------------------ ----------------------------- Check out: http://iinet.net.au/~dferstat Regularly updated! -----------------------------
