Comic collectors call drawn art covers such as this “headlight” covers. I’ll let you figure that one out. Liner notes call Bernstein “one of the most exciting musical talents to emege in Hollywood in recent years.” Well they got that right. However, it also notes that“Griselda” (Louise’s character) is “enough to take any man’s breath away.” and she has a theme of "haunting loveliness." Somehow I don’t think the theme is being listened to when she is on screen. Anyway, I have seen a black and white promo cover (same) to this also. I’m not sure, but I don’t think this has been released on CD yet (subject to your corrections). Perhaps with Bernstein’s passing, one would hope it might finally make a new release. Archibald   (Member) Actually, given the more or less "hidden" aspect of other homoerotic elements of the 50's, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a certain intention in presenting Mr.Ray as more exposed than Ms.Louise. In this way, the cover invites with something for everyone! It was rare for any cover in those days to show such a hirsute exposure. One of the aspects of the studios that Robert Mitchum has been quoted as hating was the requirement that he keep his chest clean-shaven. Aldo Ray, on the other hand, exposes an aspect of virile masculinity that could be regarded as blatant, even in our own day.    Posted:   Dec 26, 2004 - 7:02 PM     By:   John B. Along with a number of other Bernstein so-called "Americana" scores, such as DRANGO, DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS, and MEN IN WAR, all of which were also released on lp and have yet to see CD exposure, GOD'S LITTLE ACRE should one day become available.    Posted:   Dec 26, 2004 - 11:45 PM     By:   Joe Caps   (Member) The running time of the LP is very short.
