This is a score that I would love to see cleaned up and expanded. The Varese CD features music NOT on the old LP 'promo' issue, but is also missing music from that LP and to confuse things further, there is a CD boot around which has additional music or alternate versions of some cues not on either the Varese CD or old promo LP. If someone could swoop in and gather all the film and score tracks (La-La Land, Intrada..I'm easy), plus any alternate versions AND that great Vivaldi/Williams cue that has not been heard anywhere outside of the film, clean them up or re-master or whatever and give us the Ultimate Edition of this stunning Western score (great film to boot), I would be one happy camper. This is Top 10 Williams for me all the way!

Quoting Ford from an old rec.music.movies thread: However I'm told the only way to tell the difference is to look at the information on the inside matrix of the CD, if it reads VSD5540RE You have the correced disc, if it reads VSD5540 you have the original version. Link: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/rec.music.movies/IUhjRfra-IU oh, i didn't know this.. i guess there is no way now to get a replacement disc, right?

I have the LP and think it must be a bootleg since the inside label states music of the American west also the CD that I have does not include the ten minute piece near the end on the record which I believe is called Preparing the Trap which I miss and would love to see it on an expanded CD I also have several copies of the LP
