Does anyone know what Varese Sarabande Logo represents ? (if it's meant to represent something).
I've seen it again and again for twenty years, and I think it's time to resolve this puzzling question.

If Varese would hurry up and announce the NEXT CLUB CD BATCH, we wouldn't be soooooo bored and absent mindedly post redundant threads like these.

big grin

In lieu of "the next batch," some bored members might consider buying a few FSM CDs they've been putting off buying.

Oh. Reading the firsdt words, it thought it was an interpretation of the logo you were proposing, and it really bothered me that I couldn't see any such thing.
Seriously.

Too bad there aren't more women here to help us with that!

Thanks for the thread.

By the way, there's an error in the information on Soundtrack.net, Varese 's surname was not Edward but Edgar.

It seems Tom Null and Chris Kuchler were odd guys: Varese has nothing to do with film music, and the Sarabande..? And an ink blot as a logo..???
This is even more puzzling...

Varese didn't originally start as a score (or at least a score-only) company.

Varese began as score and classical music only, before their rebirth with MCA distributing.

To me, the Varese logo looks likes some sort of deer bending to drink from a pond, or munch grass or something. You can sort of see a head and antlers in the lower right portion of the mark.

At one point, didn't someone on this board state that the logo is a conductor's baton being waved?

Funny, I see an elk drinking at the brookside.

It looks like some kind of weird deer with three long antlers, kicking backwards, with a left wing.

Jim Titus said as much 11 years ago, two posts up from yours. Great minds!

Right you are, Josh. How did I miss that? Must have been one of my half-awake late-night excursions through the Board...

Amer, I remember it's just a blotch. That doesn't keep it from looking like something. Several somethings, actually, like any good Rorschach.
