What became of the Marco Polo recording of these two Steiner scores? It was released, I think, in 2003, and seems to have disappeared.

Thanks,
Greg

It was released internationally (European), but not domestically. I beleive it will soon be released in America on the Naxos budget label. I don't know if Screen Archives still have copies, but they managed to get some from Germany a few years back.

Thank you for the reply, John. I will look forward to the Naxos re-release!

One wonders why they do this. Red River (go get it on Naxos if you haven't yet. Go on. Why are you still reading this?) also never had a US Marco Polo issue, from everything I read.

It was because of John Wayne's mug adorning the cover that started all these complexities.

Just found this used and had a coupon, too. Bought it on the reputation of the scores AND the past work of these musicians. Looking forward to it!

I wonder if the original masters exist for ALL THIS, AND HEAVEN TOO? I would love to see a complete recording of this!
