I try to order FSM cds direct from the source but one time I was up in Dallas and couldn't resist grabbing a bunch of them. Oh well that was one of the hilights of going to Tower in Dallas.

Well, Lukas, can you offer any insight as to this?

Tower Records is the reason I discovered Film Score Monthly several years ago when it was just a black & white piece. I'll always thank them for carrying it, otherwise I might not ever have found it.

For a while we tried distributing our titles to mainstream stores via Collector's Choice but it was too damaging to our business model (which is to say, selling these very specialized items directly to customers). So grab 'em while you can from those kinds of outlets. Can anyone tell me when Tower shipped their stocks back? It would help me. Thanks Lukas

I don't understand. What does this mean? We can't afford to stay in business if we're cutting in too many middlemen and Tower is a big middleman! lk

I don't know why anyone would shop for (our kind of) soundtrack CDs in retail stores anyway...the selection usually isn't very good (much better than average at Tower, I grant you). At the time I was hoping to catch the eye of people who might be interested in the titles but had no idea they existed. And it probably did happen...once or twice! But it's hard to be a pimp. Ahem. lk

But it's hard to be a pimp. Ahem. But, just think of the great style in which it allows one to dress, Superfly.

Tower actually has one of the better soundtrack sections. In fact the Dallas location, as of last summer, still had a copy of the original Varese issue of the The Robe and Morricone's Once Upon A Time In America.
