What a wonderful disc this is. The dramatic and source music is superb. The booklet very detailed in both graphics and information. The stereo sound really brings the details of performance to the forefront. I suspect if Alfred Newman and his musical team could hear this music with this depth and clarity, they would be mightily impressed. Like so many Fox films, with its mix of source and underscore, it makes for a rewarding musical listening experience. Every track holds delightful surprises. Thanks Ray, Craig, Nick, Jon, Rudy, and Charles. Definitely on my next mass order- can't wait!

No, I think these must've come from the original optical stems stored at Fox. I don't have the disc, yet (I imagine that the liner notes address this), but the person to ask is obviously Ray Faiola.

The stereo recording exceeds my expectations. This is a great release and I recommend it highly. The booklet is packet with informative background on this production and is has lots of great illustrations and photos. The booklet is so thick, it's hard to get it back in the case!

Hmmmm. These threads accept new posts, but they don't seem to "appreciate" in the hierarchy of threads (i.e., don't rise to the top) Funny, though....this one DID rise to the top.

Is this old thread week? In this case, we are averting a rendezvous with Thor's hammer. To wit, someone wanted to discuss "The Razor's Edge" and Newman's score for it and Power's performance in it. Since it's ground previously covered, new posts are generated under existing ones. It's Thor's perfect world realized AT LAST here on FilmScore Message Board!
