i just had lunch with a member of the FSM inner circle who has PERSONALLY worked on the upcoming box set.

Here is what he told me:

"...the box will be blue"

Since Elmer's box was red this can mean only one thing...

OW! OW! Stop, stop, I wasn't gonna say who...

owowowowowowowoow!
that hurts!

...and there is no spoon!

Blue, to match the FSM logo?
Well, that does narrow it down just a tad.

Talk about loose lips sink ships. Bruce, I don't find anything funny or cute about you posting this.

Perhaps it's time to get your webmaster to use the DELETE button?

The damage has been done anyway, but really, I don't care if people know (or think they know) the color. I care that Bruce Marshall hounded one of my staff relentlessly for any piece of information and then turned around and put it online 15 minutes later. This is why we don't tell people, and we especially don't tell Bruce, who thinks it's all some cute game when we're actually stressed out of our heads and doing 80 things at once.

OK. He said something he shouldn't, but I can't figure out what it is. You already said there would be other boxes so blue is the key. "Elmer is red xxxxxxxxxx is blue....." Haven't a clue. Someone else want to make a cryptic guess?

I dont need to know, I dont want to know. When FSM is ready to tell me the big news about a boxed set, you be sure I'll be refreshing this page.

Theres no reason to ruin Christmas - we'll all know when the time is right!

Bruce has chosen POORLY...

Please imagine the Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade wrong grail selection sequence happening to bruce r now.

Granted the clue is rather benign, but usually clues are given out freely by the respective CD producer or by accidental early announcement from a collaborating source (ie GOODBYE MR. CHIPS), etc.

If it makes you feel any better, I think I speak for most of us in saying that I have no idea what Bruce-R is talking about. And I, at least, am perfectly willing to wait patiently until you are ready to announce whatever it might be for real. (All this endless speculation about releases, usually with no meaningful information upon which base the guesses, drives me nuts.)

And perhaps a little appreciation will help -- the Bernstein FMC box is magnificent!

I spent an entire afternoon on IMDB, trying to find out who was going to be on the most recent BSX release. I swear, I had it down to Horner or Christopher Young. How wrong I was!

That said, anything said - even with the box color - is sterile conjecture. FSM will let us know when the time is right.

Seems like a bit of over reaction going on here?

Bruce, were you given information you were asked not to divulge to people? If so you've overstepped your mark, but to be honest, as others here have pointed out, a 'Blue Box' means zilch to me, I ain't got a clue and I'm not going to guess.

This thread needs a reality check.

Maintain, Lukas. Most of us can truly sympathize with your stress, and are quite turned off by this flagrant and seemingly immature lack of self control.

Well, obviously. Violets is blue.

Lukas, whatever your next big box project is, I am sure it will be a great product, as the Bernstein box was as well.

Keep up the GREAT work!
